Thanks Chris. You taught me how to deal with background clutter. Multiple clicks with full battery also helped

Yes Jadran, that's the Ditch between Oz and New Zealand. also known as the Tasman Sea in the Pacific Ocean.

It often just fits into the frame of shots taken from the 70 metre altitude of Headland Park on Middle Head

Camera (and me) at 33°50'12.93" S 151°15'31.78" E

Thank you for your very kind remarks

Clyde,, what a spectacular view ..... I can even see the OPEN SEA on the other side of that land-stripe !
(that's my first opportunity to see this wonderful sight of the 'open sea' seen from this location,, did I miss it before !?)
Thank you & thank you, Clyde, for pleasing me with this image !

Thanks David. Nicely arranged because I don't mind using battery power. This was the selected one of about 15 as the subjects moved into position.

She came from Whyalla which has been an iron ore exporter since 1903, but nothing like the volume of north west Australia.

My best regards
Clyde

Wonderful photo, Clyde. If it wasn't for the long flight I'd really like to see that myself one day:-)

Wow, what's up in Sydney harbour? Great action shot Clyde, nicely arranged:-))
I wonder, is "Iron Chieftain" regularly shipping iron ore like the name suggests?

Best regards from Hamburg, David
