Description:
North side view of MISSISSAGI as shown while unloading sand at the North Pier in Erie, Pennsylvania, 4:35 p.m. 11 May 2006. The sand is used for beach replenishment on Presque Isle State Park, which is where the MISSISSAGI is secured.
The MISSISSAGI and J.S.St. John are the only ships thus far to use this dock. As an unimproved dock, with no real mooring facilities, the MISSISSAGI was secured to two trees and two bulldozers.
