Ensco 87, a LeTourneau 116-C jack-up built by Marathon LeTourneau at Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1982. This photo taken in the Gulf of Mexico prior to going to the Port of Brownsville. I usually enjoy these rig visits, because it is an excellent opportunity to see a working rig and the only way to nail down some workscopes. I made this trip in August 2004, the crewboat ride was 6 hours, riding heavy swells all the way.
