An unmistakeable Empire Fabric standard type of which 25 were built. Better known in British waters as Fosdyke Trader she was built as Empire Fathom by Henry Scarr at Hessle in 1945. Based on the hull of the Chant tanker she was originally to be named Chant 49, then Fabric 49 until launched as Empire Fathom. Most of these vessels ended up in the fleet of F.T.Everard after WW2.
