Now having read all of your comments - I'm with tropic. To avoid getting hit by a lightning is enough drama while taking a photo, no need for even more dramatic skies :-))

Yes I understand Pieter, I was just saying its a great shot over or underexposed nothing against your comment.

@Paul Finnigan. Please note that making constructive comments on a photo should be allowed here. After all it was not your picture that I commented upon. And as the saying goes in some languages, "better is the enemy of good"

Nothing wrong with that photo Excellent shot Tropic, under or overexposed who cares great shot under the circumstances.

Thanks Pieter, I will plead mitigating circumstances however. I was on a moving boat, it was raining (and I hate getting wet) and I was trying to avoid getting hit by lightning. The hazards of Brisbane in the late afternoon during storm season. . . . . .

Great shot, could have even been better if you had underexposed a little (1-2/3 of a stop), which would have made the skies look more dramatic and the deckhouse not look overexposed.
