GREAT !
Now I can update my datasheets with the fates of these two interesting vessels, which were missing.
Warm thanks Henry.

Hi Yvon, glad to help.

The MV ILE DE SERK was blown ashore during hurricane Hugo on the 17th of September 1989. She remained beached there until 1991 when she was hauled off the beach by HMS Fearless and towed about three miles offshore and sunk using anti tank missiles to be used as a dive site. Not sure if she is still being dived on today. You can find quite a detailed account of her life and fate on this page:
http://channelislandsshipping.je/page78.html

Hope that helps you.
Regards

Henry

Thanks a lot Henry for this info.
When I came back some years later, all the seafront had been cleaned up and I wondered what was happened to the wrecks.
Do you know the fate of ILE DE SERK which was aground not far ?

The ship was hauled off the shoreline in 1990. She was cut up into three pieces and scuttled off Anse Bateau to be used as a dive site. She sits on a sandy slope at a depth of 50-70 feet and, to this day, is still a popular dive site.

Great photo, by the way!
