Description:
Photographed passing Portishead exactly fifty years ago, on 16th December 1965, is Ben Line's BENLARIG inbound for Avonmouth from the Far East.
She had been built by Blythswood at Scotstoun, Glasgow, in 1944 and delivered to Rio Cape Line Limited for operation by Prince Line as JAVANESE PRINCE.
Purchased by Ben Line in 1961, she finally arrived at Hong Kong on 6th September 1969 for breaking.
