Description:

Clearly a Sietas-built ship, photographed in the Bosphorus on May 5th 1998, the name is readable as TARTOUSI or TARTOUS 1 but she is not the Tartousi that was listed as in service at that time. (That Tartousi was the Krogerwerft-built ship currently sailing as Lady Azza). She does bear very close resemblance to the YIANNIS K http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2318054 but can anyone find an official (or unofficial) record of her having sailed under this name ? (If this looks familiar, I did try to resolve it via the late-lamented RiverseaInternational website).

Hello Adenanthos

Thanks for your kind contribution, I didn't want to reach the same conclusion myself without some form of documented evidence of the ship name. I am sure Sietas have built many ships identical to the last detail. A few more photos to evidence her timeline from 1985 to 1998 would help !

Regards, Neil
