Owner Karl Meyer of Wischhafen is a good neighbour of the Hatecke GmbH., Drochtersen (Elbe). Hatecke is a famous builder of lifeboats, lifeboatsystems, cranes and davits. My idea is, that Karl Meyer is testing some new lifeboat gear onboard this ship. Or he bought some old Hatecke Equipment for his coaster. Maybe Cornelia Klier from Drochtersen can help. :-)

Really, the telescopic bridge makes no sense here now! Looks like she's being converted to a some sort of a tanker? A cargo vessel under 85m LBP doesn't need a lifeboat unless it's a tanker or for carrying dangerous stuff.
