I heard that they (Hyundai) want to sell their bulk-ship division.
Also a merger between HMM and Hanjin seems to be delicate and difficult, same as a merger, of the container parts, of NYK, MOL and K-line would be.

Sure, cash is badly needed, but it's not like the bulkers are the hot commodity right now. Also, there was a talk about possible merger of HMM and Hanjin not so long ago...
