Although sporting a Blue Funnel Line name and funnel, BELLEROPHON was at the time of this 1976 photograph registered to the ownership of Elder Dempster Lines (a sister company in the Ocean Transport & Trading group).
She was, in fact, arriving in the Port of London for the last time under the British flag as she was about to be sold to Saudi Arabia and renamed OBHOR.
From 1957 until 1972, she was named CARDIGANSHIRE in Glen/Shire Line colours.
She went to breakers at Gadani Beach in 1978, after a short charter to a film company, for which she was unofficially renamed BELLE, with port of registry as Boston.
