Büdelsdorf is a nice little city near Rendsburg. More than 20 years I lived in that little town and went at school there. In the 1970+80ies a lot of coasters charged and discarged their cargo at Büdelsdorfs Ahlmann quay. But that's a long time ago. Today it's rarely to see a coaster on river Eider.

you're right. Think I you'll meet a lot of old "friends" there.

A lot of these coasters are still in service, but not in Europe, the are trading in West- and East Africa, in the Carribean Sea, South America.

captainowner Horst Brey was a quite regular in Rendsburg. Sometimes you could see the vessel 3 or 4 times a week in Kiel canal. JUTTA B is one of a lot of coasters, I miss today. In the 1970-80'ies, I've been very often at the channel only for watching old coasters. Nowadays only one or two of these veterans are still in service :-(
Krgds + thanx for your kind words
Arne
