Description:
Seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth, exactly fifty years ago this morning, on 7th May 1966, was the 1946 Harland and Wolff, Belfast, built PORT HOBART which had been launched on 5th December 1945 as EMPIRE WESSEX.
After a short period operating on Brocklebank services, PORT HOBART finally arrived at Shanghai on 17th September 1970 for breaking.
