Viktoria Wulff was originally destined for Maersk and completed 27.11.2006 as Maersk Diadem, but was immediately reassigned to UASC and renamed Hijaz.

First vessel, Charlotte Wulff was to have been Maersk Bangkok but became Maersk Diadema on completion in January 2006.

Can't find anything about an issue of a technical nature.

Her owners (Hermann Wulff John-Peter Wulff GmbH & Co KG) are insolvent and assets being sold off - the reportedly got $6½mn. Her sister, now BOX QUEEN (IMO 9252096) was bought by Allseas five years ago for $59.0mn.

VIKTORIA WULFF (now VIKTORIA WULFF 1 for the scrap delivery voyage) wasn't built for Maersk, the sistership took 3-year charter as MAERSK DIADEMA instead - VIKTORIA WULFF went to UASC for a couple of years as HIJAZ instead.

Not built for Maersk, but for a KG investment managed by Hermann Wulff. Maersk were first charterers. Sister ship sold to Allseas Marine still extant as Box Queen.

Incidentally this class were the largest container ships built in Poland, type 8276, originally to have been slightly smaller 8234, re-designated before building and 5m longer.
