Under that IMO, Marine Traffic etc list her as a pusher tug

Hi Allan, apparently she was intended as a fast cargo catamaran. A fellow shipspotter was kind enough to dig up her intended IMO number from obscurity: it was 9637193.
She is listed in IHS Fairplay as Cancelled.

Looks more like the hull of a pusher tug than a barge and at 36m by the time the superstructure is on, there would be very little cargo space.

Maybe the name is not RUPELMONDE. A lot of things are not clear about this ship. I am trying to find out more about this ship at the moment. Will keep you posted!

I think you're right, only the name "Rupelmonde" I can't find back in the article,and wher is the ship finished than?

Hi, please have another look at the picture on the link that you provided and compare it to the ship on your photos. I think the ship on your photos is the twin-hulled pusher tug RUPELMONDE that NSW was building for use on the Amazon river. I thought all construction had stopped, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see it was built after all.
