Didn't you make a picture without those stupid things in forward?
So pretty this very nice ship and last of the Italian beauties, will be destroyed in a couple of years (or is it month) by Iranian sort of monkey's!

I remember seeing her limping into Gibraltar with one heck of a gash in her prow. Can't remember the exact year... late sixties?? Can anyone confirm?

Thanks Marc, glad to share. They're not much good to anyone if they are stored away. The Iranian government apparently bought the ship "as is", i.e. completely furnished including dining room china and bar stocks. The IIN officers got the first class cabins, the enlisted other accommodations, which weren't so great since there were no port lights in the lesser cabins. The IIN hired a drilling rig caterer to operate the Atlantico Bar and the Excelsior restaurant at least until 8/1978.
