Jadran: I quite agree, It will help protect your beautiful coastline from floating coal-dust...Which I know from experience... is just as much a pollutant as is oil, easier to clean up of course...but still nasty stuff.

You've not seen properly Husni (nasution) :-) the other part of the port.. the Tanker terminal (for product tankers) at port of Bakar also regularly applies anti-pollution booms ("oil booms") along the ship during cargo ops;
Pls see the 'orange' coloured booms on this pic (that tanker is loading by stern, therefore that area is protected with "oil booms"):

Ok mr.J..:)Is it applied only for bulker terminal? I see another port in Bakar no have this oil boom, it's mean not all port operator apply this.. rgds

.... it's an anti-pollution boom... this bulker brought 77,259 tons 'coal' cargo (from USA) for discharging at port of Bakar. regards
