That was good fishing for that size o boat Davie, i mind we fished in Aberdeen bay in the Contender one summer, was getting 50-60 boxes o flats a day, landing them fresh in PD every morning and getting a good price. There used ti be a good fleet o wee boats fishing inshore at one time, shame them day's are gone mate. :-?

I did 3 days on the Boy James the year after the skipper got her when I worked for the Marine Laboratory in Aberdeen. We were fishing for Plaice right up to the beach from just north of the Blackdog range to just shout of Boddam. Caught 50 boxes the first night , 40 the second and 75 the third. Great rounding plaice ( not gutting them ) when there's only 2 crew and one scientist lol.
