Nektarios helped me out. TZ is pronounced "dj", EΪ is "ay-ee", and NT is "d"

I have no clear idea why yet, but TZEΪNT or TΣEΪNT seem to be used for "Jade". I can see that "TZ" or "TΣ" could represent the sound "dj" that we use in English, but the rest defeats me. See also JADE BAY and JADE III:

You're right, script in Greek but can't see 'JADE' in it.

Ken Lubi's photo of "JADE II" shows the same lettering on the stern, more clearly still. I think the script is Greek, but can't match it to any Greek word that might mean JADE. The "II" is certainly visible.

At its stern Jade II carries a different name ending in "eint', with port of registry Piraeus.
