Description:
Eleusis, Greece on June 23, 2006. IMO 5383861. Ex-VOURI 1957, GIAPPO 1975, PONENTE 1976, ADAMOS 2001, HELP 2001-2006. Had Italian owners earlier, in June 2006 bought by Mallakos Sea Shipping, Piraeus.

Built by Werft Schulte & Bruns", Emden. ( Yard no .193 ) and launched on 15/11/1956 as 'Vouri' for Union des remorqueurs de Douala, Cameroon.
Registerd at Douala. IMO 5383861.
L X B X D = 28.2 X 6.9 x 3.90m.
Sold and renamed 'Guappo' in 1975 by Rimorchiatori Calabresi Spa, Crotone, Italy but the next year , 1976, they renamed her 'Ponente'.
BY 12/05/2000 she was under the same name, but had no registered owner and it looked as though she had reached the end of the road.
In 2001 she was sold for demolition but had a last minute reprieve from the breakers torch and re-emerged as the 'Help'.
On 22/01/2002 she was in the registered ownership of 'Mediterranean Help' with callsign 'A3CC5' and Tongan flag.
On 19/06/2006 she was sold and renamed 'Hero' with Sierra Leone registry and callsign '9LYB24'. The registered owner and ship manager being Mallakos Sea Shipping of Piraeus. She is shown as still in service.
