Built: 1969 by by Cockerill Yards, Hoboken, Belgium. Yard no. 842.
Main engine: six-cylinder, two-stroke Burmeister & Wain 6-84VT2BF-180 of 13,800 bhp at 114 rpm built by by Cockerill-Ougree-Providence, at Seraing, Belgium. Speed: 18.5 knots.
Photographed leaving Rotterdam on 27/4/1969 on her maiden voyage, MONTFORT was one of those ships that were built just in time to be rendered obsolete by the container so, after spending her short, 16-year career with the same owner, her final voyage ended on 17/1/1985, when she arrived at Kaohsiung for scrapping.
