Hyundai-Himsen, 8 cylinder diesel genset, model no. 8L 32/40, producing 4,000 kW at MCR.

This class of vessel is unusual in having four gensets - two either side of the main engine -with those on the port side being model No's. 8L 32/40 (8 cylinders),
& those on the starboard side being model No's. 9L 32/40 (9 cylinders), producing 4,500 kW.
