WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
The MV Cape Don is one of three ships that were built as Lighthouse Tenders, the other two were scrapped. The 'Don' was purpose built in Newcastle NSW Australia in 1963 from a British design, not unlike the current Trinity House ship Patricia, and was retired in 1982 (?). It is now being renovated by members of the Cape Don Society and is a registered museum. It is moored at a disused coal loader dolphin in Sydney Harbour. Visit www.mvcapedonsociety.org.au.
