I know that the decision here was "breakers or Seaspan". :) This also means that Seaspan has bought these vessels at rock bottom prices, but even the cheapest price can be too expensive if the assets just lay there, doing nothing...

One of four classic panamax containerships sold by the creditors (banks) of Hanjin Shipping to Seaspan for around $5.5m each. Seaspan appear confident that they can wait for the market to improve before finding employment for the vessels. That's what they're saying publicly anyway.
