You say 'hauling containers of all things'.

In fact, Antwerpen [and her fleet mates Brussel, Helen, DeLoris, Cornelis Verolme, Ellen Hudig and TNT Express] were all built as conbulkers.
Their owner, ABC Containerline, operated a round-the-world service that carried:
containers from Europe to Australia and New Zealand;
containers from Aust / NZ to USA and Europe; and
mineral sands in bulk from Australia to USA.

ABC Containerlines went bankrupt in early 1997.

Antwerpen use to have 3 cranes until one of them collapsed while she was unloading salt in Providence.
