L.É. AOIFE attempting to connect a tow to MV Breaksea...
In March 2006, the MV Breaksea lost engines in a southerly gale apporximately 10nm south of Carnsore Pt on the SE corner of Ireland. The Irish Navy OPV L.É. AOIFE towed the vessel out of danger, avoiding a maritime pollution incident.
This is a photo of the tow being passed with the help of Kilmore Quay RNLI Lifeboat.
