What a teriffic looking ship and a great colourful photo. If you type "Nightology Boat" into Google, you will get some idea as to what she is used for. She is actually advertised as a floating nightclub which tours the Spanish coast. Apparently, she can take 400 fare paying dancers who will be able to enjoy the spectacle provided by "DJ Angel Dust who mixes Latin/Soul rhythms with electronic music" Wow! I've come accross some strange conversions of merchant ships in recent times, but this must rank amongst the most bizarre!!

Incidentally, the "backwards 3" is actually the "&" symbol. I believe it represents part of the sponsor's logo - J&B Whiskey.

Phil -- thanks very much for the info. That certainly explains a lot. I appreciate the post. Will check out Google after I leave this site.
I wonder if any dancers ever fall off after too much J&B? Also, I would suspect that a bit of J&B and a nice swell would produce some interesting effects. No doubt about it, this ship is one for the books.

Very nice photo! Quite a paint scheme.

What exactly does this ship do?
What is a nightology boat?
Is there any significance to the 3 that is "backwards"
Is there any significance to the flags it is flying.

That ship is quite something. The find of the day on shipspotting.com!
