Description:

July 29th 2017, found the former HMCS Preserver AOR-510 alongside the Dockyard in Halifax, Nova Scotia prepared for the tow to the scrapyard. The ship left Halifax harbour on August 2nd towed by the tug Lois M from McKeil Marine. Preserver was sold to Marine Recycling Corporation (MRC) of Port Colborne, ON and in conjunction with Heddle Marine of Hamilton, ON, a company associated with McKeil Marine have leased an area of the Sydport Industrial Park in Point Edward, NS near Sydney where the ship will be broken up. The former research vessel CFAV Quest AGOR-172 will also dismantled at the facility.

Hello dear sir

Have a nice weekend and good morning from Istanbul , Turkey. I am interested in ships since my childhood.
My grandfather worked at the shipyard in Istanbul years ago. My uncle was naval officer and ship model maker after retired from army.
He made amazing models that having wonderful workmanship. As for my father he was a sailor and worked on ships and travelled all around the world.
It is like a tradition and heritage and i love ships and seas since over thirty years. About my part in this story i made ship breaking group that
