Those wooden blocks are still common use for smaller vessels when passing locks. Some things don't change.

Hi again Mike. Thanks to you. As I commented before a lot of good memories. The owner, Odilemar Shipping Co. (afther the vessel was transferred) keep the NATHALIE under Cyprus flag. CH.Mate cabin and office was located at Main deck level but at starb.side I think still I have a G.A.Plan of MIRA-ETTORE-NATHALIE here at my home...Ettore was the name of the company owner.
