Thank you Peter for your suggestion but I don't think that is possible because there are pictures on Shipspotting of the DONG HU of 1967 in her original layout after 1989 (when Tony's foto was taken)

To me the hull shape is quite different - this one looks somewhat more modern, flush decked, completely different ports; seems to have too much freeboard to have been built up like that above a new rubbing strake. There's a hint that the stern might be flat. But surprising conversions do happen.

Adenanthos, I found some shots of Santa Maria de la Paz and I would not rule out that we are looking at the same ship, but with a fully new superstructure being applied, to carry more passengers.

This is not the 1967 built DONG HU.
