I sailed on the Eldor in 2001/02. By that time the slurry tanks had been removed and she operated only on the steel/aluminium trade betwen the Rhine and mainly Humber ports. Very nice, well built ships.

A lovely scene Phil. Surprised you only got the one, I think I got the lot (some posted on here.) They used to come up the Thames too.

Phil - this brings back great memories, of seeing one of these Paul Hase owned vessels each week in Par.
In the 80's there were 5 of these used, carrying slurry from Fowey (later Par) to mainly France:
Tudor (ex Kirsten)
Pandor
Condor
Eldor
Widor

Later the Tirador was specially built with fixed slurry tanks in the hold, all owned by Paul Hase.

Thanks for the comment Krispen. Yes, I wasn't sure how many of these ships were used, but I remembered that they had names ending in ~or.

Unfortunately, the Eldor was the only one in the series that I saw.
