Description:

The newly built Littoral Combat Ship (LCS 9) USS LITTLE ROCK outbound the St.Lambert lock, thus exiting the St.Lawrence Seaway, on December 24, 2017, thus the huge fenders, which were removed in Montréal on Dec. 27.

Meanwhile, the Maritime traffic between the Port of Montreal installations and the Atlantic Ocean, in both directions, is open for business as usual. 24/7 -365.

Most important, Warships in general, are not ice straitened. Especially with a jet-pump propulsion.

LITTLE ROCK is dockside at Montréal for the winter. Earliest prediction is mid-March for her to sail but could be April as the ship is not able to proceed through ice because of her pumpjet propulsion and light draft.

Does anyone know if she is still blocked by ice from getting to the Atlantic?
