Description:

MORAN Towing Corporation tug assisting and escorting the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) as she came into Norfolk Naval Station going west past Fort Monroe Hampton VA. There were 5 MORAN Tugs involved in this.
She was built in 1962 and rebuilt in 1999. During her rebuild, she was converted to a Z-Drive, superstructure changed to better work with naval ships, and a 3000 gallon/minute fire pump installed that supplies fore and aft 1500 gallon/minute monitors.
