Built: 1946 by A Hall & Co Ltd, Aberdeen, Scotland. Yard no 709.
Machinery: 709 ihp triple-expansion steam reciprocating by the shipbuilder.
Built for the Ministry of War Transport as EMPIRE RAYMOND (Foremost Class wartime standard ‘Empire’ tug).
1947-sold to William Watkins Ltd, renamed CERVIA.
1972-sold for preservation.
1973-returned to service with ITL - International Towing Ltd.
1984-returned to preservation at Ramsgate.

Thanks David. The Royal Terrace Pier was a good vantage point. It wasn't open to the public but they'd let you on to take photos. But that was long before the days before ISPS
