Description:

The 1955 Amsterdam built and owned tanker DORESTAD is seen passing Portishead, inbound for Avonmouth, on 1st April 1970. Newport's power station can clearly be seen across the Bristol Channel. By 28th April 1970 DORESTAD was sailing from Tenerife for Guayanilla as the Greek flagged CAPTAIN VICTOR.

Later: Arrived at Brownsville in November 1977 - sold and renamed CHAPARRAL - broken up locally in 1981
