Description:

The 1952 Lubeck built BELLORIA, the former German GLORIA purchased by Greek owners in 1967, was photographed fifty years ago today, on 4th May 1968, passing Battery Point shortly after sailing from Portishead Dock near Avonmouth following discharge of a cargo of phosphate rock.

As GLORIA, she was also a frequent caller at Portishead on the same trade.

Later: 1973 PINA I then ARISTOTELES as which she was wrecked on 11.11.77 during a voyage from Ploce to Bar with a cargo of timber. Refloated, she was broken up at Split in June 1979.
