WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
Retired US Navy Iowa Class Battleship preserved in Camden NJ as a museum and memorial. She is docked on the Delaware River across from Philadelphia PA, where she was originally built. With at least 4 different commissions she served her country in the South Pacific in World War II, during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and off Lebanon, the Persian Gulf, and Central America in the 1980s. She is one of the most decorated ships in US Navy history. I have included a link to her history if you wish to learn more.

This picture was taken from her foredeck and shows her forward two triple 16"/50 caliber guns, the main reason for her building in the first place. Sadly, as you can see, the teak on her deck needs attention.
