I wonder if the port authority has their own ship breakers yard? They could do their bit to save the planet and avoid vessels like this succumbing to the elements/economics & start a recycling programme.

I'm surprised the authorities allow the vessels to remain for such a long period of time, when the inevitable is known to all of us.
