Never seen or heard of this one Derek. Is she a product of Yorkshire Dry Dock? Looks similar but somehow different. Great to see pictures from this location. I assume that it doesn't see ships anymore like so many of the small wharves around the country?

Hi John
will have to look her up.
What I do know is that she was one of four built
for carrying grain from Liverpool to Manchester.
Operated by Bulk Cargo Handling Services.
A subsiduary of Alexandra Towing.
Sold off she went coasting in the general trades.
Wivenhoe wharf closed in the early nineties.

She was built in 1975 and is 499gt
and she was also called island swallow and later under the ownership of N.E Murrey and later under the ownership of G Baker Marine. Southampton, UK

the other one i think of the same class was called seabourne trader and later Island Swift-and yeoman Rose and Gina D
