I agree with all the comments Derek, a great shot and as John says regarding types, we do not have a great choice for masts these days.

Hi Derek,
you certainly get to see a lot of new and large container ships up there. This one has particularly purposeful lines. I remember when I wouldn't even point my camera at a box boat because I'd be conserving the valuable film for the next 'proper' ship with derricks and masts and rigging to come along, of which there were plenty at the time.
But now I love to see ships like this, I suppose times and attitudes change due to what is available. Absolutely well caught Derek.

Have missed a few lately due to the weather, so many days recently were murky. Same as you I did not much like the container ships originally. Not much choice now. They are ok I suppose, still prefer anything with masts or cranes. Don't see very many around here though, hence the trips abroad.
