The passenger boat LADY CUTLER has recently turned 50 and is currently undergoing an AUD $250,000 refurbishment at the Devonport slipyard. The refurbishment project will replace about ten square metres of steel on her hull.
LADY CUTLER is named after Lady Helen Cutler, wife of the 32nd Governor of New South Wales, Roden Cutler.
LADY CUTLER was the first of 7 similar ferries known as the Lady Class built to operate on the Sydney Harbour. The ferry’s Sydney service began in 1968 and ended in 1991. LADY CUTLER currently operates cruises in Melbourne.
