Thank you for your comment. Bayside is indeed very close to the U.S. border (about 25 kms by road). The trees in background subject photo are on U.S. soil (State of Maine).
The Jones Act is a somewhat controversial marine topic (the result of the Act is that foreign ships cannot transport goods between two points within the U.S.).
This limitation suppresses commercial cargo transportation, which arguably harms U.S. interests. Many have called for repeal of the Act as an antiquated 1920’s era legislation that is out of date.

Discharging part cargo of fish for US market (Bayside close to US border) so avoiding Jones act, continuing voyage to IJmuiden, Netherlands for final discharge.
