Actually, a deal had been closed for her to be scrapped in Oakland CA, but when she blew aground, she was beyond recovery. Her superstructure was cut off, and the hull covered in rocks to make a fishing jetty. In recent years, weather has exposed some evidence of her hull again. I'll try to post one of my photos of her wreckage if they're of recognizable quality.
