Description:
"Tuscan Star" alongside at Port Adelaide's Ocean Steamers Wharf on 11 March 1938. Built by Palmers at Hebburn 1929, she was the Coy's first motor ship. Astern is KPM's "Nieuw Holland".
Hit by two torpedoes and sunk by U109 on 6 September 1942 in the South Atlantic Ocean. Approximately half her crew and a few passengers survived to be picked up subsequently by the Orient liner "Otranto".
