Description:

This is the first of two 7,500㎥ LNG vessels for Kogas, intended to transport LNG from Tongyeong terminal to Jeju Island, scheduled for May delivery. One of two should also have LNG bunkering capability; no idea if this is the one.

Anyway, this is the first vessel to be equipped with KC-1 cargo containment system designed in Korea. As for her overall design, to me it looks as if children were at play... :)

Yes, and her IMO number is wanted...no more. :)

Denis, I don't think they can't, but they clearly don't want to; new design cost money, and I guess they have already spent quite a bit on the new cargo containment system...

Thanks for her IMO number, pga!

Cheers

They can't build coaster-size ships on that yard, so they utilize same superstructures, hulls & other pieces.

It looks like a ship that suffers from morbid obesity.

For me, the weirdest looking thing on her is her massive superstructure (for her size, at least)...

Looks like another of those "midsection is optional" designs.
