Description:
The U.S.S.R. Baltic Shipping Company's 1969 Warnemunde built AKADEMIK RYKACHEV (or RYKACHYEV) is seen passing Hoek van Holland outbound from Rotterdam for Leningrad on 16th June 1970.
Her last trading voyage back to Leningrad (Saint Petersburg) was from Marina di Carrara, sailing from there on 13 April 1994. She then proceeded to Alang for breaking, beached on 19th November 1994.
