Hi Bob, interesting photo of the MALONE. I notice that your details include her renaming as GALWAY in 1972 as a charter. We used to get these Bres boats in at Teignmouth backloading ball clay cargoes to Scandinavia after they had taken timber to Reeves at Totnes. My understanding at the time was that Nielsen and Bresling had a difference of opinion with the Danish Government (a tax issue I believe) and re-flagged all their ships to the Irish flag for a period and renamed them with Irish names. They gradually reverted to the Danish flag after about 18 months.
