WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
The photo was taken in autumn 1972 off the coast of Nicaragua when sailing in Charter for Hanseatic Vasa Line from the passing sister vessel RENATE JACOB.
There were three identical sisters build at FSG in 71/72:
YN 629 - *10/71 URSULA JACOB ('74 to Cuba as SULA; '75 ABEL SANTAMARIA; +1987)
YN 631 - *12/71 RENATE JACOB ('74 to Cuba as NATE; '75 FRANK PAIS; '94 ARMIN STAR; +1996)
YN 635 - *12/72 LUTZ JACOB ('73 to COSCO as GUANG HE; '93 JIN HAI YANG, '96 YUE HANG 201 (still alive??)
I have seen pictures of the JACOB ships and the FRANK PAIS as well as ARMIN STAR...but NEVER any others...
I am especially interested in "recent" pics of the YUE HANG 201...a frequent caller at Hong Kong...
Anyone?
Former name(s):

I found informations of the vessel on the webside of Hans Rosenkranz. You can see another photo of GUANG HE here

On this side you can enter the name on "shipssearch". It's very interesting.

I was following equasis but until recently the last "update" on the ship was dated 2001, now it says April 2006...but there is no PSC or class data...
In the meantime, I found a picture as GUANG HE, however undated. Check it out: http://www.biedekarken.de/guanghe.jpg
She was re-measured and I wonder if the YUE HANG 201 has "lost" all her gear!!!!!
Cheers,
Lars
