Launched 14 March 1953 at Bolnes by Boele's Scheepswerven & Machinefabriek as hull no. 949 for Maatschappij Zeetransport NV (Oranje Lijn), Rotterdam. 461'11" x 62'4" x 25'10;" 7328 gt, 4196 nt; one 12-cylinder Werkspoor Diesel, 680mm x 1250mm. Accommodations for 60 passengers.
Sold 1965 to Deutsche Seereederei, Rostock, and renamed *Ferdinand Freiligrath.* Later *Freijo* (1974), *Universal Honolulu* (1974), amd *August 8th* (1976).
Broken up at Kaohsiung, 1979.
Shown during a rare trip into the Great Lakes at Lake Calumet Harbor, Chicago, Illinois, USA, in May 1961. She generally ran Montreal-Europe, I believe.
