The French submarine FS MINERVE S647 launched and commissioned into the French navy in 1961,
In January 1968 she was lost 49 km. South of her base at Toulon, her crew of 52 were lost with here. She was only discovered in 2019. Here in this photo she is seen sailing out of Marsamxett harbour.
